My Most Anticipated Games of 2017

We are just mere weeks into 2017, and looking forward there are many highly-anticipated games looking to make a splash. Here are just a few of mine in no particular order.

Red Dead Redemption 2

Red Dead Redemption 2-Rockstar Games/Take-Two

Rockstar Games-the minds behind the highly successful Grand Theft Auto series-return to the west in Red Dead Redemption 2; sequel to the 2010 masterpiece of the same name. Not much is known about RDR2 except it presumably being a prequel and toting a release date of fall 2017. Given Rockstars near flawless pedigree thus far, RDR2 is groomed to be a smash-hit later this year.

Horizon: Zero Dawn

Horizon: Zero Dawn-Guerrilla Games/Sony Interactive Entertainment

Guerrilla Games are perhaps best known for their long-running first-person shooter series Killzone. With Horizon: Zero Dawn Guerrilla are stepping into intrepid territory the likes the company hasn’t done before; open-world rpg. First shown during Sony’s E3 2015 press conference, and has slowly shown promise ever since. Horizon looks to be a bold and exciting new IP to look out for. Plus you get to take down robot dinosaurs…how awesome is that?!

Cuphead-Studio MDHR

Part run-and-gun, and part platformer. Cuphead is an artistic game arriving this year by brothers Chad and Jared Moldenhauer. What makes this game highly anticipated you ask? Well if the screen cap above is anything to go by, you can clearly tell the artistic style is quite spectacular. Inspired by 1930’s cartoon’s and supposedly quite challenging Cuphhead looks to be an unique venture.

Mass Effect: Andromeda

Mass Effect: Andromeda-Bioware/Electronic Arts

Set 600 years after the events of the original trilogy. Developer Bioware continues the series with Mass Effect: Andromeda. Ditching the Milky Way Galaxy in favor of its nearest neighbor: Andromeda. With a new cast of characters, variety of weapons and environments to discover; Andromeda is looking quite promising. Plus most of the game is shrouded in mystery; be sure to look out for it when it arrives in March.

What games are you looking forward to in the months ahead. Be sure to comment below if you want.
